Cory Clark is a behavioural scientist, the Executive Director and Co-Founder of The Adversarial Collaboration Research Center at University of Pennsylvania, and a Visiting Scholar in the Psychology Department.

We started by discussing Cory's research on how average psychological sex differences between men and women could explain the changes to academic culture that we've seen in recent decades, as more women have entered academic institutions as both students and staff.

In the extended version of the episode, we discussed how these same psychological differences may have affected other areas of public life: from the law on homosexuality, to public health policy, to political propaganda.

02:24 how the culture of academia has changed
08:50 Why women prefer smaller higher trust coalitions
13:12 Academics and self-censorship
14:48 What are the upsides of feminisation of society?
18:00 On veganism and female psychology
23:02 Grade inflation as a reflection of removing hierarchy
27:39 How female values clash with institutions designed by men
30:37 Should women be in the military?
36:27 Psychological differences between men and women
