What would you do with unlimited power and wishes? Join me for tonight's story as we follow one soldier, who, faced with a bleak future, begs a witch for a night's lodgings. She has him do all sorts of chores around her home, and then asks him for help retrieving her blue light from the well. This he does, but the witch refuses to bring him back above, so, resigned to starvation, the soldier lights his pipe with the mysterious blue light. BUT! From the smoke a helper appears! The future is so bright now, with this little blue light! Our solider, however, is not the best of men. He decides to take revenge upon the Kingdom that wronged him so, in a "Count of Monte Cristo" type scenario. This tale, the Brothers Grimms' "The Blue Light," is read in a soft voice and set to some light and soft background music. I do hope you enjoy the this evening's Grimm's fairytale!
