When Alexis and her husband first bought this house, they knew they were taking on a major project. Over the past eleven years, they’ve lovingly restored this 100-year-old home, built from redwood planks barged down from Northern California. With its sweeping views of the Pacific and its breezy coastal details, it perfectly embodies that quintessential California beach house vibe.

Alexis has filled the space with pieces that celebrate both the home’s history and her own family’s story. There’s a pot that once belonging to her great-grandparents, early San Diego homesteaders, and milk glass she’s collected since childhood. Layered in is the family’s deep connection to the ocean, with surf-inspired touches reflecting her husband and son’s love of surfing and adventure. It’s why they affectionately call this home their “outpost for adventure.”

From the airy living room to the petite yet charming kitchen, the downstairs art studio, and the expansive yard, every corner of this house radiates Alexis’s creativity, her family’s spirit, and their love for the ocean.
