How to record Aurora Borealis with Gopro

This was recorded on Gopro Hero 11 Black but will work for Hero 9/10/11/12 and probably some before that too. I only ran the night lapse for an hour as my sofa and bed in the warm were calling. You could attach a power supply and run it all night but the lights don't tend to last for very long in my experience.
Settings for those that can't understand my mumbles and mild accent :)
In night lapse or a preset based on night lapse:
Resolution 4k
Lens wide
Format Video
Interval Auto
Shutter 30s on a dark night, 15s on a bright or moonlit night.
Timer 3s
Zoom 1x
Bitrate High
ISO Max and Min 800
Sharpness Low
Colour Natural

Your mileage may vary and if in doubt, take a pic with the settings to see how it turns out before letting it run for a while. Hope this is useful.
