70,000 Shanghai G12 students participate in ‘Chunkao’, another path to future other than gaokao 高考

In the morning at 7:30 am on May 1, 2025, nearly 70,000 candidates entered the examination hall for the unified cultural examination of the Spring Enrollment for ordinary higher education institutions in Shanghai.

This year, the overall number of enrollments in Shanghai continues to increase, with 26 institutions participating in the spring enrollment, and the number of programs offered has reached a record high of 109 for the first time.

Among them, there are four "Double First Class" universities. A more diverse range of options for advancement has created conditions for candidates to find suitable paths for their career development.

The 26 trial admission institutions for spring enrollment have released the latest admissions regulations, offering a total of 109 programs and 3,539 admission plans. Compared to 2024, both the number of enrollments (+17%) and the number of programs (+10%) have surpassed 10%.
