Ximer (2022 Version)

Hi! As I explained in my past video of the 2022 version of New Heights, this is the 2022 version ripped straight from a drive, from 27th December 2022! It's a re-release that's coming up for my 5th anniversary mix. This version has two new songs and an original mix, as well as the original versions of the songs from the New Heights sessions in October-December 2022. If you haven't seen the New Heights reupload, here's three questions I'm answering: What's the story behind it? Why does it sound so different? and Why am I only posting this now, if it's been lying around for two years?

1. Ximer (an anagram of Remix, pronounced "zei-mer"), is the remix/outtake album for New Heights. As I said in the prev video, from October to December 2022, I produced 50 songs, finishing 28 of them.

2. It sounds so different due to technical problems to be honest, and I'll dive deeper into that. By mid 2022, I had really got into sound design and getting a bit more creative in my music, trying to lean less on loops and samples. I had this project planned that was going to be a self titled album released in September 2022, however, the device I was producing this all on decided to pack in after 3 years, due to a processor issue, and no data was recovered off of it. I decided to get a new iPad in October 2022 to produce it completely on mobile GarageBand, and over 40 tracks were produced, using new sound design and new-found techniques!

3. The reason I'm releasing it now is because I have Soultech's 5th anniversary coming up, and I thought I'd show the original version, that differentiates from the streaming services version.
