Officer, teen killed during shootout in Southwest Memphis

An officer and a teen were killed during a shootout Friday morning.

Memphis Police Officer Joseph McKinney was killed during the shooting. He was taken to the hospital but did not survive his injuries.

A second officer was taken to Regional One Hospital and is now in non-critical condition. A bullet grazed a third officer.

MPD said an 18-year-old was killed during the shootout and a 17-year-old was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
