Exploring Ligao, Polangui & Iriga by PNR Train. Bicol Express Adventure Part 5.

For our fifth installment of our Bicol Express Adventure, we visited several cities and towns in Albay and Camarines Sur located near the PNR Station where travellers can explore their tourism sites.
We started in Ligao City with a visit to Carmelite Monastery and Bambusetum at Kawa-Kawa Hill, followed by a trek on the foot of Mt. Masaraga to visit the Ilah Nature Park. From there, we returned to Ligao Poblacion and visited its church and city plaza.
From Ligao, we headed straight to Polangui and visited its church and plaza.
After Polangui, we went straight to Iriga City and visited its church, its old city hall, its plaza, and finally, the old train station where a National Artist once sold water to train passengers (can you guess who?).
From Iriga, we returned to Naga and took a bus back to PITX, completing our 3-day Bicol Express Adventure of trains, buses, jeepneys, tricycles and habal-habals and meeting some of the warmest, friendliest people along the way.
