HEART TRAIL: (Seeking Something)
At the Roan High Knob Shelter, one of my new friends caught up to me. We shared how our A.T. hiking had gone so far today, and what our plans were for the rest of the day. Though his plan was to camp there with his group and mine was to hike on, we hope to share the a.t. trail in the future! On my way down to Carver's Gap, I ran into my friend's wife, who was on her way up to surprise him - how fun! My new trail friends were a blast and refreshing to my heart :).

Next was hiking Round and Jane Balds on the way up to Grassy Ridge Bald. Wow! Multiple panoramic views on this section of the hike! While watching the sunset, massive clouds moved in so fast from the SouthEast. They obliterated visibility, dropped the temperature, and brought condensation to my tent!

While hiking amid all of the changes about me today, I reflected on how I can either focus on the negative aspects of change or the positive opportunities that come with change. Today, I felt I thrived amid the changes! Tomorrow, will I be able to repeat this approach?
