Congratulations to EyRIS for being one of the 11 finalists in the Most Promising Innovation category for Techblazer Awards 2021. SELENA+ is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Deep Learning System (DLS) that involved the synergy of research and expertise between the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Mr Lai Teik Kin, CEO of EyRIS, explained, “The deep learning system is called “selena+” stands for Singapore Eye Lesion Analyser, designed to detect three retinal conditions that cause blindness. It aids specialists such as endocrinologists and diabetologists to detect the silent developments of Diabetic Retinopathy early and provide timely treatments before the condition worsens.”
