India is full of Munna Bhais. A WHO study says that more than half of the doctors in India are fake. But they are very popular in rural India, this is because there is shortage of doctors in rural India and to a large extent the medical education system is to be blamed. Due to this shortage, these informal doctors help fill the gap in rural healthcare but can also prove to be fatal as we see in the case of Unnao. Some believe that training them is right way to go ahead but institutions like the Indian Medical Council are strictly against it. So, the operations of fake doctors of India remain under question.
