Fender Stratocaster V57 - Fullerton 1983 - Candy Apple Red with EMG DG20 (Gilmour Red Strat)

Описание к видео Fender Stratocaster V57 - Fullerton 1983 - Candy Apple Red with EMG DG20 (Gilmour Red Strat)

This is the short story of a dream I have since I started to play David Gilmour in 2013. Ten years. My ambition was to get his same red stratocaster. I have had several ones in my hands, from my first Candy apple American Special to my last MIJ red strat, which was a great guitar.

Many of you asked me why I sold that beauty.
The reason was that I was trying to get this 1983 Fullerton Made American Vintage 57' Reissue in Candy apple red (V008216) which I saw at the house of a friend, casually, while he wanted to try my Sunburst strat.
I said, she has to be mine.
Even thought the nitro finish in many points was burnt and melt, the neck was in great conditions.
I took the guitar to my trusted luthier to give her a new life.
The pickup cavities has been routed deeper to allow EMG SA to be down enough to reach a "Passive" PU sound.
The body has been also re-finished with Nitro.
My EMG DG20 on again, and the "red strat style" tremolo arm.

Where I got my short tremolo arm in "red strat" style:
