The active depression has weakened and transformed into a depression as it moves westward, having been on this path for the last six hours. The low pressure system is expected to dissipate completely within the next 12 hours. Meanwhile, wind and rain continue to affect coastal and adjoining districts, with several areas, including the state capital Bhubaneswar, experiencing heavy rainfall.

A red alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak districts. An orange alert has been declared for Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara, anticipating around 100 mm of rain. A yellow alert is in place for light to moderate rain in Angul, Nayagarh, Khurda, and Puri.

Additionally, a red alert has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, and Kendrapara, where wind speeds are expected to reach 80 to 90 km/h, while Mayurbhanj and Jajpur could see winds of 60 to 70 km/h. A yellow alert is also active for Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur, with wind speeds projected at 40-50 km/h.
