Freight Trains in Shepparton; 9306 Tocumwal Freighters

In this video we see some freight trains in Shepparton; a city in the Goulburn Valley in regional Victoria around 190km north of Melbourne. Shepparton is regularly frequented by freight trains to and from Tocumwal in New South Wales; trains 9305 (heading north) and 9306 (heading south).

Throughout the video we see train 9306 as it heads south towards Melbourne. This train leaves Tocumwal in the late afternoon; usually passing Shepparton around 7pm under the current timetable. Most 9306 trains are the standard Tocumwal Freighters; operated by Pacific National hauling containers with a G or BL Class locomotive, but you will also see the odd grain train too; including some operated by Southern Shorthaul Railroad. We see train 9306 at various locations around town including the station yards and various trackside locations and level crossings in and on the outskirts of town.
