it's time to get me trooper where the need to go with the chimera APC, a utilitarian troop transport of the imperial guard.

the chimera we'll be taking a look at is of the 2010s era in relatively current packaging. the kit it's self is starking to show it's age abit but with some slight mold slip in places and a few frustratingly placed mold lines. the kit does come with a decent amount of options but could do with more (including the ones forge world used to make for it in the twin linked heavy bolter turret and autocannon turret) but at the same time the chimera does remain a good kit. the one main thing i feel the kit is missing is it's track guards and stowage which currently can be found on the tank upgrade frame and it needs some more arm options for the gunner. the kit is relatively easy to put together

as for detractors the sculpt is aging and at almost 80 aud it's price is mental. at that price the kit feels a bit basic lacking in decorative details including track guards and stowage and while sure there is a separate tank upgrade sprue for the current price I shouldn't need to spend extra to get track covers. but overall i did have fun building this kit and later painting it (after this video)
