Ayyappan mudi – Weekend Destination

Ayyappan mudi (Mount Ayyappa) serene hill top situated in Ernakulam dist. 8 Km from Kothamangalam en-route to Thattekkad.

Ayyappan mudi, a rocky hillock which got its name from the Lord Ayappa temple that is situated at the top. The lone temple and the beautiful scenery on top gives a calming effect after the trek.

Ayyappan mudi Hill and Trecking

Ayyappanmudi is very near to Bhoothathankettu and it is poised to be one of the main tourist attractions of Kothamangalam. Ayyappan mudi is a small hill with good trekking track. Tourism dept is promoting this place with very good infrastructure visualising the tourism potential of this place.

The view from the hill top is magnificent. Almost 100 kms around the area can seen from the top of the hill. The mesmerising areial view of Ernakulam district with lush greenery creates an everlasting impression and answer on why Kerala is known as God’s own country.

8 Km from Kothamangalam en-route to Thattekkad. Please get down at Keerampara junction and ask anyone the route to Ayyapan mudi. It is hardly 2 km from Keerampara.
