This bold shipping container home in Lille, France is all about stacking. Designed and built by Patrick Partouche, Maison Container Lille is a 3 bedroom home made from 8 standard shipping containers situated next to a field. The containers ends have been cut out to make way for windows, and the cargo doors can be opened or closed for shade, privacy, or protection during severe storms. Completed in 2010, the container home took only 3 days to construct after the modules were delivered to the site.
Maison Container Lille is composed of 8 standard shipping containers stacked on top of each other in a staggered arrangement. The exterior was painted a vibrant cherry red and the interior features bright white walls accented by red columns and metal finish work.
