Toxic Shame is the idea that you are somehow flawed.

Not that you have performed or behaved in a flawed way but that you're broken, unworthy, or inadequate as a PERSON. It's "I am inadequate" rather than "I've done something inadequate" to the situation.

It can get feeling big and amplified for those on a spiritual path, because we become more sensitive. It's not "if" shame comes up, it's "when".

Going straight to the practice of activating your heart center to meet shame with truth and lovingkindness can be a big help in the process, allowing shame to surface, be witnessed, and move on through-, dissolving again and again in the silky cleansing love of of the Divine that is available to us in the heart.
