Asterix & Obelix XXL 2: Concept Art

This concept art was found in a beta version of the game (project title Asterix & Obelix Ultimate, available on Hidden Palace). It served as placeholder for the gallery pictures that can be purchased at a merchant area. Unfortunately, the images don't exist in higher quality.

The art shows the original vision of the game's numerous memorable locations. Especially the art for Pirate Island is interesting: On the west side, it was planned to visit a wrecked pirate ship. In place of the dark tunnel on the east side, there was originally another section of the town.
Other noteworthy differences include cut sections in Venetia, different environment objects in WCW (originally MGM) and unique rides in the cable car section of Caesar Palace.
