Описание к видео Mandolin Mondays Featuring Eva Holbrook /// "The Monaghan Jig"

Mandolin Mondays #166: This week on Mandolin Mondays we're graced with a tune from the impeccable Eva Holbrook of Shel and Lady Moon. She can really make that Weber Beartooth sing!

Originally from Ft. Collins, CO, Eva has been playing music from a young age. She and her 3 sisters formed the genre-bending acoustic band SHEL that over the years has been met with a cult following and critical acclaim. Check out their most recent release Just Crazy Enough: https://www.shelmusic.com/#store-section

In addition to SHEL, Eva has recently struck out on her own with her new solo project called Lady Moon. She's exploring the many different worlds of folk music with her mandolin and guitar and sharing the results on social media and youtube. Be sure to check out her work at the links below.

Here's a word from Eva about the tune in this video, "I came across this jig in my study of O’Neils Music Of Ireland, and here lent my own ornamentation and picking interpretation to Kevin Allison’s transcription. I particularly love this piece because it conjures visions of dancing fairies."
