• The Operation: On June 3rd, 2025, Ukrainian special forces carried out an underwater bombing of the Kerch Bridge. This operation involved a combination of underwater drones, such as the "Meridka," and combat divers (4:40-4:51).
• Execution: Preparations included satellite imagery and underwater sonar mapping (4:57-5:05). Divers used closed-circuit rebreathers for stealth (5:15-5:20) and navigated using sonar pingers and underwater GPS (5:21-5:27) to attach approximately one ton of explosives (5:39-5:42) to the bridge's support piers (6:16-6:20). The charges were designed for maximum impact and placed discreetly (6:41-6:46).
• Result: The detonation caused significant structural damage, disrupting traffic and a key logistical route for Russian military operations in Crimea (7:08-7:18). Ukraine plans to use the "Meritka" underwater drone for future bridge attacks (7:21-7:28).
