Hey players, DJay here with another arcade exclusive longplay on a platforming fighter, The Outfoxies.

Description of the game:

The Outfoxies is a platforming fighter by Namco released exclusively for the arcades in March 1995 on the Namco NB-2 hardware, being the second and final game for the system after Mach Breakers. It is often believed by most people to be an inspiration to the Super Smash Bros. series in terms of gameplay. A PlayStation port was announced in August 1995, but unreleased.

7 hitmen around the world have being hired by a mysterious man named Mr Acme in order to assassinate wealthy art collectors. Once the contract is completed, they arrange to meet up at their house to kill each other to avoid paying fees. The only question is: who will emerge as the greatest assassin?

Players pick one of 7 characters and will be pitted in a battle against another hitman, taking on 7 stages by first eliminating 6 other hitmen before engaging in a battle against Mr. & Mrs Acme. In each stage, players must use whatever tactic they can to deplete their opponent's health down to zero. Using the standard attack buttons depletes a very small portion of their health, while using weapons increases the amount of damage. Weapons include a gun, machine gun, sword, grenade, whip, flamethrower and a rocket launcher. It also ranges to more outlandish items like fruit baskets and pies. The player as a time limit of 200 seconds to eliminate the opponent. As time goes on, some of the stages' environment will constrict the space and make it more difficult. If the timer reaches zero, the fighter with more health remaining wins.

Pick any hitman and come out on top as the world's greatest assassin.
