Lawn mowers are designed to do two things well: neatly cut and vacuum lawns. By removing the vacuuming blade and shortening the cutting blade, you can make your lawn mower very effective at cutting tall grass. More effective than a string trimmer. Just be careful not to mow where there could be hidden obstacles like stumps or rocks, or you could bend your crank and wreck your mower.
