Watch my bus journey from Sringeri to Bengaluru by Sugama Tourist Non AC Sleeper bus. This is a new route that I have tried.

Sringeri is a hill town and Taluk headquarters located in Chikkamagaluru district in the Indian state of Karnataka. I was told it is a scenic route. However, all private buses operate during nighttime itself. Sringeri draws a large number of pilgrims to its temples of Sri Sharadamba, Sri Vidyashankara, Sri Malahanikareshvara and other deities.

I have done a daytime journey by KSRTC bus as well which I will upload a bit later. Sugama has 2 - 3 buses on this route depending on the season. I was traveling by Sugama bus Route no:5 which goes Chikamagalur, Hassan route. The other Sugama bus route no: I goes via Koppa. My bus was a 9:30 pm bus and was scheduled to reach Bengaluru (Anand Rao Circle) by 5:25 am. However, we reached Anand Rao Circle 30 mins early. The route from Sringeri till Hassan is through one-lane roads and hence cannot maintain much speed. However, after connecting to NH 75, the bus was able to do some really good speed. Our bus overtook KSRTC Flybus, Airavat, and many more bi-axle buses. There was only one driver driving for the entire journey. Pragati anna (the driver) really drove well. Maintained good speed as & when possible, but also slowed down as & when there were speed breakers. There were two loo breaks during the journey, which made the journey more relaxed for the passengers. The bus crew was friendly & supporitve throughout the journey. This is my first vlon on Sugama bus. I had got quite few requests for Sugama bus journey. So I hope you like the video.
