The Horizontal Falls - An Overnight Trip by Seaplane

Описание к видео The Horizontal Falls - An Overnight Trip by Seaplane

I was once again fortunate to have Justine fly all the way from Sydney and spend a week with me around Broome. We organised an overnight trip to Horizonal Falls which is definitely a must do experience in the West Kimberly's.

The unique geology of the area, combined with tides of up to 12 metres, force huge volumes of water through two narrow gaps, creating the illusion of a waterfall that is flowing horizontally.

The tour we did involved several boat rides through the larger gap but after an accident last year, they no longer go through the smaller gap for safety reasons. Considering we were there for one of the biggest tides of the season, it was probably a good idea not to do so  considering the water dropped 2 metres in the small gap that morning!

The scenic flight in and out on seaplanes was spectacular as was staying overnight on the boat/pontoon. Snorkelling will the sharks (in the shark cage) was also great fun and definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Once again, I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
