Описание к видео Shimanami Kaido Cycling Route - Japan

On April 16 2024 we rode the 70km (43 mile) Shimanami Kaido cycling route between Onomichi and Imabari. It is the first bicycle road in Japan that lets you cross a sea strait comprising of 6 islands and 6 stunning bridges. This route attracts cyclists from all over the world. We rented our bikes at the port of Onomichi and began our ride in the morning. We rode at a leisuraly pace and made several short stops in addition to a lunch break at Tatara Shimanami Park. Our ride also included a side trip up to Kirosan Lookout offering us stunning views of the islands. Our goal was to arrive at Imabari Cycling Station located at Imabari Station before 20:00 closing time. We arrived with an hour to spare. We spent the night at a hotel near the station. In the morning we took a motor coach to the Fukuyama Shinkansen Station for our ride back to Osaka.
