THE MIXES | Club 051 Classics: Part 1

Originally built in 1991, the iconic Liverpool landmark known as "The 05" became one of the North West's premier clubbing destinations. In it's heyday, the club would see lockouts every Saturday night as coach loads of ravers came from far and wide to walk down those hallowed steps!

With resident DJs Lee Butler, Dave Graham, Lil John and Pez Tellett on the decks, and regularly broadcasting live on Liverpool's famous Radio City 96.7 (or 96.7 City FM as it was previously known) the venue became synonymous with club anthems and scouse house, helping in no small part to put this incredible music we love on the map!

After closing it's doors for the last time in 2005, the building fell into disrepair. Vandalism, fires and flooding left the once iconic venue a shadow of it's former self. However, in September 2023, after many months of renovation (and years of trying to gain access to those responsible for the venue's ownership), the club was saved and will open to the public again for the first time in 18 years!
