Plot:
"Kitumba" depicts the U.S.S. Enterprise on a suicide mission to the heart of the Klingon Empire. Pulled in every direction by warlords and people that have their own agenda, the Kitumba suddenly finds himself confronting his very enemy: Captain James Kirk and the Enterprise. The choices he makes will resonate through the galaxy for years to come.

This episode will not only explore Klingon society and show us the home planet, but will bridge the gap between the TOS Klingon Empire and Klingon Empire we saw in the feature films.

"Kitumba" includes a cast of 36 with 59 extras - sporting ridges as well as TOS Klingon makeup. Introducing Kario Periera Bailey as the Kitumba. Special surprise guest stars for the episode include Gil Gerard and Andrew Probert.

This video has been re-released to resolve a music rights issues with SME. This version has removed the clip (a short trailer) that was disputed.

I just tried to reply, but it wouldn't take it ((""Comment failed to post."" LOL!!)) - not sure if it was the links in my reply - or, if, instead, one of the Klingon-language words in my response was deemed a cussword in the GMail/Google/YouTube filers, so here's the short answer, and I'll try to follow up with a more-detailed answer: Our race (I'm part Klingon) got infected by a virus, and some of our people lost their ridges, as it affected the genetics of those infected, and it was inherited by their children. etc. - OK, let me see if this thing will let me post a more-detailed answer...

Our race (I'm part Klingon) had a virus that infected us, and some of us are not ridged, as the saying goes. The Klingon augment virus was a modified form of Levodian flu that threatened to wipe out the Klingon race in the mid-22nd century. It was inadvertently created by Klingon researchers who were attempting to bio-engineer enhanced warriors using DNA from genetically-modified Human embryos left over from Earth's Eugenics Wars. The "Augments" (e.g., several Augment embryos which we from a hijacked Bird-of-Prey destroyed in orbit of Qu'Vat colony ), which we created, did indeed develop enhanced strength and intelligence, but they also began to show Human characteristics, from the blatant to the subtle. These included personality alterations and loss of the characteristic forehead ridges.
