The Wheel of the Heart - cycles of gratitude with the Gebo rune - Magic in Mind

Promises turn the wheel of the heart. Promises of friendship, ambition, love, support, security, happiness, prosperity. There is no end to their possibility. Some bud and die so briefly their light is simply a guiding star upon the way to something else. Some burn as beacons, enduring upon the horizon of our dreams until we are transformed into their image. Some wither no matter how hard we tend them, how much we try. And some open wide, blooming upon the tapestry of being before star-bursting so bright, so loud, they expand our hearts 1,000 fold only to hollow them out as their fragrance fades.

Gebo opens us to the secrets of gifting, promises, gratitude and grief. In this week's Magic in Mind I share a practice for working with this rune of reciprocity and exchange to help us heal and make whole the wheel of the heart.
