I had a Mercedes with an active bonnet fault, I had to look into what the active bonnet system was, then I went back to the car to carry out a diagnosis, the fault code and live data on the scan too was enough to know that the fault was not with the active bonnet actuators, the fault was with the pedestrian sensors that at on the front bumper.
I found a broken in two sensor on the left hand side.
I am sharing this video without the fix because I was only diagnosing the car.
It still way help someone with an active bonnet fault.
