Results:

1. No leaks.
2. Transmission is colder than Engine by:
-. 20 celsius - when engine below fully hot.
-. 10 celsius - when engine fully hot.



Thermostat Directions

How do you know what hose to connect to what port of the thermostat?
1. The 'Derale' thermostat has the word 'Derale' printed on it.
2. Hold the thermostat so the word 'Derale' is positioned correctly, and not top down.
3. The word 'Derale' supposed to be at the bottom, and not at the top.
4. Now - the top 2 ports are the HOT pass, and the bottom 2 ports are the COLD pass.
5. Also, use the printed arrows to match the direction of the passes.

6. Remember:
6-A. When the thermostat is COLD - it is CLOSED, and the HOT pass INPUT does not flow through, but (mostly) flows directly to the COLD pass OUTPUT.
6-B. When the thermostat is HOT - it is OPEN, and the HOT pass INPUT flows (mostly) directly to the HOT pass OUTPUT.
