As you prepare to become a state or federal court interpreter, you need to exploit reading comprehension exercises that you find in Practice Test materials. You can do SO many things with a written text such as:
Familiarize with the topic if it's unknown to you.
Learn the new vocabulary that might even be more specialized
Practice by sight translating!

In this video we will sight translate a text whose title is: 'More Nuclear Power Equals More Risk' that can be found in the FREE FCICE Practice Test booklet offered by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.

A court interpreter MUST be ready to deal with the unexpected and be well-versed in a variety of topics. My goal is to help you prepare for the Written Exam and gain skills that will not only help you with the Oral Component of either the FCICE or your state court interpretation exam, but also with the skills needed in real time, as you interpret for others in the court of law.
