Johor Bahru City Square, situated near the Johor–Singapore Causeway on Wong Ah Fook Street, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is a mixed-use complex featuring retail and office spaces. Established in 1999, it underwent various enhancements over the years, including the transformation of Mega Pavilion Cinema to Cathay Cineplex in 2000 and later to mmCineplexes in 2016. The complex comprises a seven-story mall with over 300 retailers, anchored by several prominent brands, and a thirty-six-story office tower divided into lower, middle, and upper zones. With three levels of basement parking and amenities like an outdoor garden and pond on Level 6, the mall spans 41,800 m2 and attracts approximately 1.5 million visitors monthly, particularly from Singapore due to its proximity to the causeway. Majority-owned by the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), City Square also has partial ownership by the Johor Bahru City Council and Iskandar Puteri City Council.

As an interesting tidbit, the Johor Bahru Checkpoint in Malaysia and Woodlands Checkpoint in Singapore, located on the Malaysia–Singapore border, are recognized as the world's busiest international land border crossing, handling approximately 350,000 travelers each day.
