A great big booming, rushing thermal just south of Richmond, NSW. At one point I was gaining about 600 feet per turn - which means the climb rate was well over 1000 feet per minute. Quite exhilarating. The aircraft is a FlyLight Dragonfly single-seat trike. It would have been easy to get sucked up into the cloud - at the end you'll notice a determined effort to get out of the lift.
