Anything worth doing is worth overdoing, so when it came time to make a ball turning attachment for my Logan lathe...I might have gone overboard and made one with a dovetail slide and lead screw. The result is certainly more complex than it needs to be for a tool that will get used infrequently but it's also very satisfying.
