However, many Defenders face criminalisation, violence and even murder as a result of their peaceful activism – driven by the relentless pursuit of profit and a culture of impunity which many large corporations enjoy.

We’re working to expose the companies whose business models threaten those working to protect the environment, raise awareness of the threats they face, and campaigning for laws to protect them and hold those responsible accountable.
