The Village Dessert: Taro With Coconut Milk and Sugar (Vakalolo)🥥🇫🇯

Описание к видео The Village Dessert: Taro With Coconut Milk and Sugar (Vakalolo)🥥🇫🇯

In this vlog we are going out to the farm to plant some Kasa (kava stems). We are also going to harvest Taro from my farm in order to make the village dessert and find some coconuts that is part of the ingredient for the dessert.

The Vakalolo is a fan favourite amongst the villagers but it takes a long process for it to make. First we have to clean the taros, cook it, then peel it and hit it until it gets sticky. We also have to make coconut milk out of the coconuts we gathered from the farm and then mix it with melted sugar which gives the sauce or the dip that we need for the taros in order to be the vakalolo.

There are plenty ways you can make vakalolo and this is one of the ways we do it with taros.
