Tirupati Laddu row: Lab report confirms alleged use of animal fat in ghee supplied to Tirumala

Big controversy has erupted in Andhra, after CM Chandrababu Naidu accused YSRCP of using ‘animal fat’ in the of ‘prasadam’ of Lord Balaji. Sharing details of the lab report, TDP Spox on Sept 19 said the “lab report certifies that beef tallow and animal fat - lard, and fish oil were used”. Speaking on the issue, former TTD Board Member, Bhanuprakash Reddy informed that complaint is being filed against Jagan Mohan Reddy. As the row erupted after TDP’s lab report allegations, Ex-TTD chairman and YSRCP leader YV Subba Reddy denied these allegations and called them “baseless”. Meanwhile, speaking over the ‘laddoo prasadam’ at Tirupati temple, devotees said the quality of laddoos has improved under TDP as better ingredients are being used now. Tirumala Temple is devoted to Lord Venkateswara, a manifestation of Lord Vishnu. It is believed to have come to earth to deliver humanity from the trials and tribulations of the Kali Yuga.
