GEM Systems' SuperGradiometer Instruments within the CONRAD Geomagnetic Observatory

Описание к видео GEM Systems' SuperGradiometer Instruments within the CONRAD Geomagnetic Observatory

The new CONRAD Geomagnetic Observatory, together with other international institutions, will further advance research on the earth's magnetic field and its effects on the earth itself. Equipped with highly-precise measuring instruments, including three of GEM's 3D Gradiometer-Magnetometer systems (SuperGradiometers), the CONRAD Magnetic Observatory is a pioneer in the most sensitive observatory measurements of the earth's magnetic field which has not yet been seen in the World.

This is currently the most highly sensitive measuring system of its kind, consisting of two horizontal gradiometers in the directions north-south and east-west as well as a vertical gradiometer. The potassium gradiometer system makes it possible to take measurements in the femto Tesla range, allowing for specific research projects to be conducted.
