On Wednesday, Notre Dame Football Coordinators and Players met with members of the media to discuss the upcoming game with Miami at Hard Rock Stadium.

Irish Illustrated was in attendance and compiled highlights of the event.

Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock was asked about what Notre Dame has in CJ Carr, and the coordinator discussed how Carr has put in the work, but noted that the team was eager to see what he has.

When asked about what it would mean to him to win in his home state against Miami, Wide Receiver Jordan Faison said it would mean the world to him.

Newly named captain and Linebacker Drayk Bowen spoke about how Carson Beck is a "mature player" who has played high-level football, and called Beck the team's "biggest challenge."

Safety Adon Shuler addressed the noise surrounding the game, and that every game at Notre Dame feels like "the Super Bowl," but that the team needs to remain focused and play its game.

Offensive Lineman Aamil Wagner was asked about being named a captain, and Wagner called it the greatest honor of his life, "by far."

Defensive Tackle Donovan Hinish echoed Wagner's sentiment and added that Notre Dame needed to adopt a physical mentality on Sunday because the team needed to send a message.

Wide Receiver Will Pauling said that being named a captain is an opportunity he doesn't take for granted, and that he is excited to lead the team.

And finally, starting quarterback CJ Carr explained how being named Notre Dame's starter means everything to him, and that it's what he has worked toward his whole life.
