Delivery Driver SCORE!! This piece was FILTHY when I spotted it on the curb!

I'm a delivery driver that finds curbside treasure on my route to flip for extra money.

This particular set of two nightstands and a dresser were EXTRA FILTHY when I came across them. After checking to make sure I wasn't going to be bringing any creepy crawlies home, I loaded her up and took her home!

After airing outside for a few days, I cleaned it with White Lightning from Dixie Belle. It is a TSP degreaser/deglosser and really helped to clean this up. I mixed it in gallon size due to how REALLY GROSS and dirty this job was.

While the top was wood, the entire front and sides of these pieces were pure PLASTIC! Can you believe it?

Anytime something is shiny or slick, I prefer to put a bonding primer on it before painting. It helps any paint adhere and is going to make the job more successful!

Then I sanded and stained the tops of each piece before painting.

Using chalk paint made it really easy to blend the colors together.

I sealed with a satin clear coat, painted all of the hardware, and called it a day!
