The National Center for Tumor Diseases Heidelberg (NCT for short) is the central point of contact for all cancer patients. Over 25 tumour boards are held every week, where each individual case is discussed in a large group of experts. In this way, patients receive their individual treatment plan - coordinated on an interdisciplinary basis.
The NCT is a shared project of the Heidelberg University Hospital, the German Cancer Research Center and the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University. The aim is to provide the highest level of care as an oncology center of excellence and to rapidly transfer promising approaches from cancer research to the clinic.
