The 650m-long flyover connecting New Town to Salt Lake City, Sector V, Kolkata was remotely inaugurated by West Bengal CM on Thursday 8th June 2023. It's an alternative route to New Town from Salt Lake and Sector V and will likely take less travel time.

The flyover, above the Kestopur canal, extended between Balaka Abasan in New Town’s Action Area I and the Sector V Ring Road near Godrej Waterside, in front of the Panache housing complex.
