The Chinese New Year celebrations for the year of the Rat in 2020, in Perth, Scotland. After the blessing of the Chinese Dragon by the new Chinese Consul General, Ma Qiang and Provost Dennis Melloy, the parade went through the City centre and then over the river Tay as seen here. The parade then arrived at the Norie Miller Park to continue the Chinese and Lunar New Year celebrations.

The occasion marked the first visit to Perth for Ma Qiang, and the Deputy Chinese Consul General. Also in the parade Andy Chan, chairman of the Perth Chinese Association, who stated “The festival doesn’t just belong in China and Hong Kong, it is celebrated all over the world and is one of the biggest (festivals) we have in Perth.” The drummers and characters were from Yee's Hung Ga Kung Fu in Edinburgh.
