Описание к видео Hallett Cove Geological Mapping Exercise - Virtual Field Trip

Come and make your first geological map at the Hallett Cove Conservation Park, South Australia! This site hosts some spectacular folds at Black Cliff that are the focus of our mapping exercise. We will learn about the major rock types and their structural features, how to use a geological compass to measure planes and lines, and the essential elements that make up a geological map.

0:00 Introduction
0:38 Rock Type 1: Siltstone (Brachina Formation)
2:34 Rock Type 2: Glacial Sediment (Cape Jervis Formation)
4:45 Identifying Planar & Linear Features: Bedding, Cleavage, Joints & Lineations
6:50 Measuring Structural Data: Planar Features
11:26 Measuring Structural Data: Linear Features
12:53 Assembling Your Map: The Finished Product!

Together with the instructional video, there are also some awesome 3D models and UAV aerial footage to explore, allowing you to see Hallett Cove from all angles. All models showcased in the video are linked below.
