The Private Schools Association has demanded for a clear position from the government on the possible reopening of schools for non-finalist learners. According to the Association Spokesperson Hasadu Kirabira, school proprietors and parents are relying on speculation and rumors due to the information gap that has been left by the government’s silence. The school owners say any proper preparation to welcome back learners will largely depend on how much time government will give them to put their institutions in order.
The proprietors also want government to fulfill its pledge of providing a
stimulus package to assist them offload the debts that they are currently servicing as a result of the closure of education institutions
