চার দেয়ালে বন্দি কারো স্বামী, ভাই, কারো পিতা-সন্তান। কেউ সাজাপ্রাপ্ত, কারো মামলা বিচারাধীন, কেউ আবার অপরাধমূলক কর্মকাণ্ড করে দিনের পর দিন রয়েছেন লাল দালানে বন্দি। বলছি, খুলনা জেলা কারাগারের কয়েদিদের কথা। সীমাবদ্ধতা ও জেলকোডের বাধ্যবাধকতার কারণে কারাগারে থাকা এসব বন্দীর সাথে সচারচর দেখা করতে পারেন না পরিবারের সদস্যরা। তাই কারাগারের আশপাশের উঁচু স্থান স্বজনদের ভরসাস্থল।
