📖 the recipes 📖
00:49 - Elf: buddy's dessert pasta
pasta (as much as you’d like haha)
m&ms
mini marshmallows
sno caps
chocolate syrup
maple syrup
chocolate fudge pop tart
1. Cook the spaghetti until it’s al dente.
2. Just top with all the sugary toppings!
02:46 - Home Alone: mac & cheese
1 stick butter
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup half and half
1 1/2 cup broth
1 1/2 cup sharp cheddar
4 oz boursin
4 oz cream cheese
1 tsp mustard, smoked paprika, salt, pepper
1 lb pasta
crushed lay’s kettle jalapeno chips
1. Parboil the pasta until almost cooked through, about 2-3 minutes under the box instructions.
2. In the meantime, brown the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Whisk in the flour, cooking for 2-3 minutes until there are no clumps or raw flour.
4. While whisking, incorporate the half & half and broth slowly until it’s smooth.
5. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, mustard, paprika. Stir in the 3 cheeses on low until fully melted and smooth. Stir in the pasta until all the noodles are coated.
6. Serve and optionally add crushed chips and enjoy with a glass of milk : )
05:53 - Polar Express: hot chocolate
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp corn starch
vanilla paste
3 oz chocolate
1. In a small saucepan, heat together the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and milk over medium heat until it just starts to bubble, then turn to medium-low.
2. In a small cup, whisk together the cornstarch with a splash of milk. Pour that into the saucepan, whisking constantly until the hot chocolate thickens.
3. Turn the heat to low and stir in the vanilla and chocolate until fully melted.
4. Serve with whipped cream (heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla) : )
08:20 - Love, Actually: banoffee pie
1 1/2 cups biscoff cookie crumbs
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp salted butter, melted
2 cups dulce de leche
3 bananas, sliced
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
vanila pasta
chocolate shavings
1. Make the dulce de leche: Remove the labels from the condensed milk cans and place them into a large pot. Fill the pot with water so that the cans are submerged by about 1-2 inches of water. Place this over medium-high heat unti it boils, then reduce it to a simmer. Let this simmer for 3 hours, keeping an eye on the water level. Cool before opening can.
2. Make the crust: Stir the biscoff cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter together until it resembles a course sand. Pour the mixture into the pie dish and pat the crumbs into a crust. Bake the crust for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
3. Make the whipped cream: Using a handmixer, whip together the cream, sugar, and vanilla over medium-high until soft peaks form.
4. Assemble the pie: Spread the ducle de leche on top of the crust. Arrange the banans on top and spread the whipped cream on top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
5. Optionally top with chocolate shavings and enjoy : )
11:40 - Grinch: who hash
8 oz frozen tater tots
1/2 can spam
1/2 onion, diced
1 scallion
queso blanco:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup pepperjack cheese
4 oz cream cheese
4 oz can green chili
1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp paprika
1. Heat the tater tots in the oven/airfryer until crispy.
2. Cut the spam and onion into a small dice.
3. Crisp up the spam over medium heat with a splash of oil. In the same pan, lightly caramelize the onions over medium heat.
4. Make the queso (same technique as the cheese sauce from the Home Alone mac and cheese above!)
5. Assemble the who hash in a decorated can by layering the tots, spam, onion, cheese sauce, and scallions. Enjoy : )
