Tamiya DT-01 RX Memorial Fighter

Take a look, this is my DT-01, it's nothing special, but you might like it anyway! Lots of wonderful lessons to be had from this!

Well, this isn't the marvel of engineering from Tamiya, but it's a solid platform and it's a hell of a lot better than a Grasshopper!

This RX Fighter Memorial Edition came with a sheet of shiny gold stickers and even some fancy gold wheels, but as you see, I chose a different look, more "stealthed out" sort of thing. And instead of a driver figure, I glued in a bit of an old dishwash bottle to make a windscreen, cockpit thing.

Also on the technical side there is a change, it's an aftermarket ESC powering the thing, the relatively new ISDT ESC70. It's got some fancy features, but those come with a price, sometimes it does have some trouble working right.

The motor is the old Silver Can, and for radio, I am using a Futaba stick radio. The servo isn't anything special either.
