Hi there, I’m Bill Selak, and I continue to be amazed at what can be accomplished amidst the constraints of a pandemic.

Being an inclusive school community is more important than ever, and we’re producing videos and livestreams more than ever.

We have a weekly livestream for our all-school assembly, half in-person, and half watching in classrooms. And the setup is pretty cool: I’m running the livestream off a new MacBook Air, using a couple cameras, a video switcher, and Streamyard to broadcast.

We’re taking this to the next level… literally. My phone is connected to both a drone, and my laptop via AirPlay, made easy with macOS Monterey. With this workflow, we’re adding aerial footage to our livestream!

I’ve been making a lot of videos in Final Cut Pro, as well as creating original music for all these videos using Logic Pro.

Outside of Hillbrook, I continue to present at conferences on accessibility, focusing on iPadOS features, as well as simple ways to make schools and classrooms more inclusive using video and audio.
